Complete the questions

The result will explain which rules deserve closer contract review.

Always write the rule with a precise named place: for example, “FCA Supplier Warehouse, Shenzhen, China — Incoterms® 2020.”

Important: Incoterms® rules allocate selected delivery, cost, risk, carriage, insurance, and clearance responsibilities. They do not determine title to goods, payment terms, product compliance, sanctions, governing law, remedies, or complete contract obligations.

Container warning

For containerized shipments delivered to a terminal before vessel loading, FCA often deserves review instead of FOB.

C-rule warning

CPT, CIP, CFR, and CIF separate the place where the seller pays carriage from the earlier place where risk transfers.

DDP warning

DDP can fail when the seller cannot legally complete import formalities, register for taxes, or act as importer in the destination country.
